Due to high customer demand, on April 15, 2019, DHL will launchDHL P?ckchen XS International, a new product for private customerswishing to ship small parcels that weigh up to 2 kilograms and arewithin specified size limits; the price is €4.89 to other EUcountries and €8.89 to all other countries. The DHL P?ckchen XSwill complement the existing product range for larger-formatinternational packages and parcels.
Shipping labels for the DHL P?ckchen XS will be available fromApril 15, 2019, through DHL’s online franking service, the DHL appor the online franking service in the Deutsche Post shop. Theparcels can be dropped off at the more than 28,000 parcel drop-offpoints throughout Germany, including Deutsche Post retail outlets,DHL Paketshops, DHL Packstations and DHL Paketboxes.
Effective January 1, 2019, Deutsche Post changed its generalterms and conditions to prohibit the shipment of goods ininternational letters. In doing so, Deutsche Post implemented theUniversal Postal Union’s division of international letter contentinto goods and documents and took the first steps to meet customs-and security-related demands from a growing number of countries forelectronic registration of shipments that contain goods. Forprivate customers, DHL offers its DHL P?ckchen and DHL Paketproducts for international shipments of goods as they alreadysatisfy these requirements in the online sector.
With Warenpost International, business customers can ship goodsweighing up to 2 kilograms abroad, a minimum quantity of fiveshipments per quarter is required. Heavier goods can be shipped asDHL Paket.
A wide variety of Deutsche Post letter products remains availableto both private and business customers for international documentshipments.
